Here we go again

I'm taking part in 7DRL 2026! I've never actually finished one of these, but this time around I intend to. This blog should help. The plan is to make a roguelike inspired by Befunge, a 2D programming language. Roguelikes have things moving around on a grid; Befunge has things moving around on a grid. It's a natural match!

We will see how well it turns out.

I made a simple roguelike engine last year, which I'll be cannibalizing for parts this year. Here's what it looks like before I take it out behind the shed and shoot it:
